Choosing a DVI monitor

(Note: This page does not apply to RT.X2 SD or RT.X2 LE)

Your Matrox RT.X2 card has a single-link DVI connector used for connecting a DVI monitor for previewing the video output from your RT.X2 system. In order to take full advantage of RT.X2’s monitoring capability, your DVI monitor must support the video resolution of your video output. For example, if your video output resolution is 1920×1080, and your DVI monitor supports a maximum resolution of 1280×1024, your DVI monitor may not be able to properly display your video. For full-resolution HD monitoring, your DVI monitor must support a display resolution of 1920×1200.

Please note that only DVI monitors that accept digital input are supported, and DVI monitors that support dual-link DVI only are not compatible with RT.X2.
