Gruppo TNT "Media Re-Play" System Exploits the Power of Matrox DSX Hardware

Montreal, Canada – September 5, 2008 – Matrox® Video Products Group today announced that leading Italian software developer and system integrator Gruppo TNT S.r.l. has chosen the Matrox X.mio2 card, part of the Matrox DSX family of developer products, as the core of its Media Re-Play all-in-one instant replay and clip management system. Ideal for multi-camera shoots of live events such as sports, concerts, and reality shows; Media Re-Play continuously records up to four cameras on a single system with up to eight stereo audio tracks per channel. It supports realtime synchronized "live" editing on all inputs and intuitive clip management for playback of slow-motion and highlight playlists.

At IBC 2008, the Gruppo TNT product line will be demonstrated on stand 12P.A35. The Matrox DSX product line will be demonstrated on stand 7.B29.

"We chose the Matrox X.mio2 cards for our IT-based architecture because they offer up to four independent I/O channels that are field upgradeable from SD to HD, as well as extensive support for a variety of software codecs that can be mixed in realtime including MXF and Sony XDCAM," said Giuseppe Bonariva, Gruppo TNT CEO. "In addition, the Matrox DSX Software Development Kit provided comprehensive development tools including versatile file reading/writing, memory management, and streaming synchronization, that let us quickly get our application to market."
