Possible Windows® Stop Condition with MIL/MIL-Lite 7.x
To: All MIL/MIL-Lite/ActiveMIL/ActiveMIL-Lite 7.x users
From: MIL Driver Development Team
Date: October 6, 2006
MIL/MIL-Lite, as well as ActiveMIL/ActiveMIL-Lite 7.x users, may experience a Windows® Stop condition caused by the Matrox DMA manager (mtxdma0.sys) when abnormally terminating a MIL-based program (e.g., CTRL C). The issue is addressed by replacing the existing mtxdma0.sys file with a new one available for download from our website. Once downloaded, copy the new file into the %windir%\system32\drivers folder and then reboot the system.
Note: MIL 7.0 users will need to keep a copy of the original mtxdma0.sys file and restore it in order to properly uninstall MIL. The mtxdma0.sys replacement file is NOT compatible with MIL/MIL-Lite/ActiveMIL/ActiveMIL-Lite 6.x or 8.x, this issue and solution applies exclusively to MIL/MIL-Lite/ActiveMIL/ActiveMIL-Lite 7.x users.
